What do you guys use for recording videos on FSX?

Post  rubendal on Thu Jan 21, 2010 7:52 pm

Hey I was just wondering what you guys use for recording vids on fsx. I know dragon has made some vids, killer too I think and I wanna know what you guys use. I'm new to this kind of stuff lol, just downloaded a piece of software for editing vids and it looked kinda cool. I felt like making my own vids for fsx or something. I tried some screencapture video called debut something but it gave me 1 fps on fsx lol. So that'd be much appreciated if I could update my video capture software.
Thanks everyone.

We use Fraps to record fsx, but there is a problem with frames with it. it eats like 5 to 10 frames i guess, but it is excellent

Fraps is the way to go, but it's a frame killer. Best time to film in a session is when the sun is going down, which is the best time to get better frames. I don't know why but it has been working for some of us. By tha way, what editing program did you find ? I use 'Windows Movie Maker" We all should have it, it is a defult program in everyoen computer (I think). Best way to learn is to play around with it, lol.

Hah play around I always do that lol. I think that windows movie maker is similar but i use VideoPad Video editor from NCH software. Cool program, NCH has some really high quality media editting software. (WavePad[Sound], FlashLynx [download video from utube etc,]. you should be able to get it from their site, or you can downlload wavepad and click on the toolbox to get a whole bunch of links to other programs.
I don't think fraps will work for me cause I only get around 10 FPS lol, but anyway I'll try it.
I'm guessing that you have to pay for this so if you have a torrent link offhand, that would be much appreciated.
Thanks guys

Also, after you record the video, Movie Maker really sucks. When I make videos (very rarely) I use Sony Vegas so I can bublish in 1080dpi Razz
