Yemen Strike Empty Yemen Strike

Post  GPEO Wed Sep 30, 2015 12:24 pm

GPEO ships that responded to investigate the hijacking of an airliner have been unjustly attacked shortly after communications were lost with the ships along the coast of West Yemen, near the border of Arabia. There are ground targets identified as hostile. Primary target is an anti-ship missile site. Secondary targets are SAM or any AA sites if spotted. Enemy air power is possible and should be expected.

Aircraft available for this operation:

(Carrier Based Strike/Multi-Role) [Currently at CV76]
A-4C [30] (Strike)
F-18C [16] (Multi-Role)

(Land Based Multi-Role/Fighter) These need to be flown from HECW to the designated Front Line Base (Undisclosed).
MiG-29 [6] (Multi-Role)
MiG-21 [8] (Fighter Support)

Known possible enemy air power in order of likelihood:
F-5's
MiG-29's
MiG-21's
F-16's

Tactical approaches, targets and other plans will be discussed in the briefing moments prior to executing the operation.

The situation in Yemen has quieted down since a B-52 carried out its mission. The situation on the ground is still unknown, as well as the location of the stolen 747 and its crew.
